Information you give us
When you use our contact form, we collect the information you choose to provide:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- The type of case, its status, and any upcoming court date
- Your preferred contact method and your message
We use this information only to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to provide legal services. Please do not send confidential details through the form; we will discuss them with you privately.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our servers and analytics tools automatically record technical information when you visit, including your IP address, approximate location (city, province or region, and country, derived from your IP address), browser and device type, the pages you view, links you click, and the website that referred you. We use this information to keep the site secure, prevent abuse and spam, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We never record what you type into the contact form for analytics purposes.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to operate this website: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (secure database storage), Google Workspace (email), and PostHog (website analytics). These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
How we protect it
All information is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Form submissions are stored in an access-restricted database and delivered to our office email. Access is limited to people who need it to respond to you.
Retention
We keep inquiry information only as long as needed to respond and to meet our legal and professional obligations. Technical visit logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
Your choices
You may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask questions about this policy, by emailing sahra@baregzaylaw.com. You can limit analytics through your browser's privacy settings or a content blocker.
